What We Did for Mandela Day
This Mandela Day, we extended the spirit of 67 minutes into a full #MandelaMonth2025, dedicating the entire month of July to this inspiring cause. For every booking made during July, MyResorts donated a meal to someone in need through Moeggesukkel.
MyResorts Visits Moeggesukkel
In August 2025, the MyResorts team visited Moeggesukkel to deliver the impact of our Mandela Month initiative. A percentage of every July booking was set aside to provide meals for the people who dedicate their lives to helping Moeggesukkel’s residents. Along with the food donation, we also contributed R6 000 in cash to support their ongoing work. During our visit, we had the privilege of speaking with Mr Nick van Rensburg, who shared:
"We breathe new light into people's lives. Thanks to the hand of the Lord over us, we can welcome individuals and provide them with work, helping those who have faced hardships to find their feet again. To us, it is a privilege to serve. What you do for us is reinvested into our community. There are many people facing difficult circumstances, not just in our centre, but in the wider community. In our centre alone, we serve 7000 plates of food a month and care for 700 families, and your generous donation makes our work so much easier. Thank you to the MyResorts Team, it is an honour to have you with us today.”
